Minister President Kretschmann visits WS in Renningen

Top politics at WS in Renningen

Baden-Württemberg's Prime Minsiter Winfried Kretschmann visits WS in Renningen to find out about activities in the field of hydrogen. In addition to the production of green hydrogen from biogas and decentralized ammonia cracking, the high-ranking visit also focuses on the highly efficient and low-emission industrial burners manufactured by WS.

Prime Minister, District Administrator and Mayor visit WS

Baden-Württemberg's Minister President Winfried Kretschmann visited together with Böblingen's District Administrator Roland Bernhard and our Mayor Wolfgang Faißt
the WS Group in Renningen to find out about advanced environmental technology. The focus was on the future of energy supply for our industry. Green hydrogen as an energy carrier will play a key role in the future energy system. A good exchange between politics and industry is therefore important in order to recognize current trends and create the right framework conditions.

WS offers a broad portfolio of cutting-edge technology

Our Managing Director Joachim Wünning presented the broad portfolio of innovations from the WS Group:

  • Green hydrogen from biogas with a live link to the Demonstration plant including our new hydrogen bus of the BtX energy GmbH.
  • Plants for the decentralized splitting of ammonia (NH3) from WS Reformer GmbH.
  • Innovative, low-emission and highly efficient Hydrogen burner for the decarbonization of thermal process technology based on WS's decades of experience with the FLOX® Technology.

These aspects will be discussed in the WS Group among others at our affiliated companies and in close cooperation with the Science edited.

We would like to thank you for the exciting visit and the interested questions and are already looking forward to the many opportunities for cooperation that were jointly identified.
