The WS Group is looking forward to an exciting and successful year 2024. We are expecting the completion and commissioning of several pioneering investments. On the product side, our customers can also look forward to various innovations and further developments that will make a decisive contribution to their success in achieving true sustainability. 

An exciting year lies ahead for the WS Group in 2024. We look forward to completing several landmark innovations and investments that will help our valued customers meet the challenges of the future energy system.

  • Major improvements and additions to our R&D lab infrastructure
  • On-site production of green hydrogen for the supply of our R&D lab
  • Full commissioning of our new ammonia (NH3) infrastructure for the development of next generation solutions for heating and reforming
  • Vertical integration of 3D printing infrastructure as a result of many years of development and experience gained with external experts
  • Expansion into a neighboring building, adding much needed room for manufacturing and R&D
  • New construction of two buildings able to accommodate our growing business in new markets of environmental technology based on the FLOX® technology.
  • Introduction of new burner models and options aimed at making our industry cleaner, more efficient, and increasingly flexible.

The energy transition is gathering pace and the WS Group is well prepared to play its part in making it a success.

We have already started with the renovation of the recently acquired neighboring building D8.

Green hydrogen: WS puts electrolyzer into operation

With the help of a new electrolyser and surplus electricity from its own PV systems with a capacity of over 400 kWp, WS will supply the laboratories in Renningen with green hydrogen in future. Following the installation of the electrolyser at the end of 2023, the storage and pipeline infrastructure is now also fully operational.

Drastic CO2 reduction at Rexnord Kette GmbH

Rexnord Kette GmbH and WS have successfully modernized a belt furnace, reducing the furnace's CO2 emissions by 35%. In addition to new burners with maximum energy efficiency, the optimization of the operating mode also contributes to the CO2 reduction.

In addition to the production of green hydrogen from biogas and decentralized ammonia cracking, the high-ranking visit also focuses on the highly efficient and low-emission industrial burners manufactured by WS.
